We’re still open!

I just wanted to give you an update. Like all businesses we are having to adapt the way we are working to deal with restrictions imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic. At this difficult time, we wanted to keep you updated of steps we have taken so we can continue to provide a service to you. You will appreciate the situation is changing daily and we will continue to change and adapt as circumstances progress. We will keep you informed of these changes as appropriate.

Internal process

At our head office we have put a number of measures in place to look after the safety & wellbeing of our people; we have put processes in place to check on health as well as cleaning and sanitising routines. We have also made the decision to split the workforce and departments evenly across 2 separate offices and spread everyone much further apart, these steps mean that if unfortunately a member of the team falls unwell in one office and that office are all forced home all functions of the business can continue functioning normally i.e. your orders being processed, stock can be purchased, goods will be despatched and invoices will be paid and raised.

Suppliers & Stock

All of our suppliers are fulfilling our orders as normal. We have been advised by some that they expect to see some shortages arising, but information is generally non-specific at this time. To try and minimise disruption we have increased stock of core lines.

Couriers & Distribution

This is an area which is evolving and will continue to change as the government continue to make updates and put actions in place. The current situation we have is as follows;

  • Appliance deliveries – These will continue to take place as normal until we are advised otherwise. The steps we put into place Monday are still being used, the team here are asking all beneficiaries if they are in isolation due to symptoms, if so, deliveries will be put on hold and we will advise you. We are also asking if they are happy for our crews to enter their property to make the delivery/installation. The crews will continue to wear gloves and clean down any surfaces they have touched. Keeping everyone safe & healthy is our main priority!
  • DPD deliveries – We will continue to use DPD who have put their own measures in place. They are no longer asking customers to sign their handheld units and instead drivers will sign on their behalf. They are recording the consignees name and a “Delivered on Authority” message in the signature section of the unit.
  • Royal Mail – As above they are no longer asking customers to sign their handheld units.

Summary

This is a difficult and uncertain time for all of us. We believe we have taken the appropriate steps to maintain ‘business as normal’ as far as possible. We are committed to maintain as high level of service as circumstances allow and we will continue to update you as and when things change.

As always if you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact us.
